This 5-year-old boy had increasing numnbers of café au macules and superfician cutaneous neurofibromas. He also had a solitary plexiform neurofibroma on the right side of the abdomen with a large overlying café au lait spot and loose skin. He was being treated for esotropia. There was no family history of neurofibromatosis.
