This healthy 49-year-old woman developed thickening and hyperpigmentation of the skin around both nipples over the preceding 2 years. Similar changes may occur in acanthosis nigricans, keratosis follicularis, pregnancy, and rarely in men receiving estrogens for prostate carcinoma. Histological changes resemble those of a seborrheic keratosis.
