Comments

This diagnosis needs clinical correlation as the histology is similar to a comedone or dilated pore of Winer. In this case, there was a large excision with numerous comedones, allowing us to suggest the diagnosis on pathology alone.

Description

Numerous, patulous follicular orifices are present in close proximity of each other. Two are shown in this view. The follicular epithelium buds into the adjacent dermis similar to a dilated pore of Winer.
