A healthy 2 month old boy developed round and annular red papules and plaques on his scalp, face, and trunk. His mother had a history of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus, and both mother and baby had positive serology for anti-Ro (ssA) and anti-La (ssB) antibodies. He had no other signs of lupus, and his rash disappeared by 9 months of age.
