Comments

This healthy 10-month-old boy had an asymptomatic reddish-blue tumor on his left thigh at birth. The lesion showed no signs of growth or regression. Oral propranolol was initiated at 1 mg/kg/day on 01/18/2011 and increased to 2 mg/kg/day the following day with a slight flattening of the tumor. Ultrasound showed changes consistent with an hemangioma. Clinical features and the lack of change since birth were typical of noninvoluting congenital hemangioma(NICH).
