Comments

This heatlhy 16-year-old girl complained of the intermittent development of linear erosions and patchy purpura on arms, legs, abdomen, and upper chest and shoulder. The patches developed acutely over night without an overt history of trauma and healed within several days. When the lesions were covered with an occlusive dressing they always healed quickly unless the dressing was removed before returning to the doctor's office for wound checks. Cultures were negative and lesions never appeared in areas which were not readily accessible to the patient.
