A clinical diagnosis of pyoderma gangrenosum was made in this 54 year old man with slowly progressive painful uncerated nodules. Skin biopsies showed an ulcer with mixed inflammatory infiltrate. Cultures for bacteria, fungi, and atypical mycobacteria were negative. An extensive evaluation finally turned up a lymphoma on bone biopsy, and the skin lesions cleared with chemotherapy.
