This healthy 6-year-old boy has had short hair since birth. Microscopic examination of the hair showed twisted hairs, but interestingly at his most recent visit, the hair was easily pulled from the scalp and a ruffled cuticle typical of loose anagen syndrome was found. His eye brows were also affected. Growth and development were normal.
