A healthy toddler developed a disseminated asymptomatic red papular eruption with central scale, necrosis and crusting in some lesions healing with hyperpigmentation. The palms and soles were involved. Examination revealed no adenopathy or organomegaly and a skin biopsy from a red papule showed a benigm superficial dermal lymphocytic infiltrate with dyskeratosis, spongiosis and some hemorrhage.

Description

disseminated symmetric red scaly macules and papules, some with central necrosis and crusting and many resolving with scale and hyperpigmentation
