Comments

Direct immunofluorescence of the skin biopsy showed IgA, IgG, IgM and complement deposition rather than selective IgA deposition typical of Henoch Schonlein purpura. Renal biopsy showed crescenteric glomerulonephritis, with absence of IgA deposition. These changes are consistent with the small vessel vasculitis seen in post streptococcal disease.

Description

Neutrophilic Infiltration of blood vessel walls, fibrinoid necrosis, and nuclear dust are seen in superficial dermal blood vessels.
