This 5-year-old boy developed confluent bullae and hemorrhage on his finger distal to the metacarpal-phalangeal joint after his finger was closed in a heavy sliding door. He avulsed a portion of the nail and finger tip which was sutured back in place. The bullae dried with a tough adherent scale that was debrided in the operating room. At last check the wounds were healing without permanent complications.
