This 42 year old woman developed a progressive red papulosquamous eruption that became confluent and disseminated over the trunk, face, and extremities. The close up image showed the primary follicular involvement characteristic of pityriasis rubra pilaris. Palms and soles were also involved. A skin biopsy revealed changes consistent with the clinical diagnosis.
