Comments

This healthy 2 month old boy had a blancing red patch over the lumbosacral spine area at birth. Lumbosacral spine x-rays and a MRI scan demonstrated normal bony and soft tissue structures. Spinal dysraphism has been associated with a number of cutaneous anomalies in this area and should be excluded early in life before symptoms occur.
