Comments

This 7 year old boy developed a rapidly growing nodule on the right palm at the base of the fifth digit. Several days earlier he experienced profuse bleeding after accidentally scraping the nodule. The lesion was successfully vaporized with a Coherent carbon dioxide laser at 30 watts power with a 1 mm hand piece. Pathology revealed a pyogenic granuloma and 1 month after surgery the wound was healed with a subtle scar.
