Comments

This 48-year-old woman had a 4 month history of bumps on her nose, eye lids, and neck. She also experienced an episode of shingles on her back shortly after the first facial lesions appeared. She complained of chronic nasal congestion, worsening dyspnea, and chronic abdominal pain. The respiratory symptoms improved dramatically while on a course of oral steroids. A biopsy of the skin papules revealed findings consistent with sarcoidosis.
