A 2 months old infant developed an itchy rash on the right side of the chest and abdomen and right arm and shoulder. A scraping from several nodules demonstrated female scabies mites. Although no one else in the family was symptomatic, the entire family was treated with 5 percent permethrin cream. Only a few residual papules were noted at a followup visit 6 weeks later.
