This infant with recessive junctional epidermolysis bullosa developed diffuse recurrent blisters and erosions. Mucous membranes were also severely involved. The biopsy (white arrow) showed a subepidermal blister. Immunomapping and electronmicroscopy demonstrated cleavage through the dermal-epidermal junction.
