A 10 year old boy developed widespread asymptomatic red papules which evolved into crusted necrotic papules and healed with post-inflammatory hypopigmentation. Initially he was diagnosed with pityriasis rosea, but when the lesions continured to recur for over a year a biopsy was obtained which confirmed the suspicion of PLEVA. He continues to be well without signs of systemic disease.
