This healthy 58-year-old woman developed progressive tightening of the skin beginning on the trunk and spreading to the arms, legs, and face. The areas of involvement were not tender and resulted in a shiny firm texture to the skin and decreased range of motion. She was not diabetic, on no medications, and there was no family history of similar lesions.
