This 79-year0old woman developed a chronic ulcer on her left index finger. Histology showed a sqamous cell carcinoma and a thoracic computed tomographic scan showed pulmonary metastases. Periungual squamous cell carcinomas are frequently associated by a Human papilloma virus infection and have a worse prognosis than other cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas.
