This healthy 13-year-old girl developed a generalized minimally itchy bullous eruption with the greatest concentration of lesions on the trunk and sparing of the face a month ago. Many of the lesions had central crusts and erosions and peripheral flaccid bullae. A skin biopsy revealed subcorneal vesicles and pustules, and direct and indirect immunofluorescence were negative. Two weeks later many of the larger bullae had resolved leaving discrete and confluent hyperpigmented macules and patches with darker edges and new 2-3 mm vesicles and pustules.
