This 68 year old woman complained of chronic scaling on the right foot and a new itchy red scaly patch on the right ankle. The left foot and leg were clear. A potassium hydroxide scraping from the instep and the red plaque showed branching hyphae.

Description

4 cm round red scaly plaque with trailing collarette of scale on inner aspect of border and diffuse scaling over sole and web spaces of foot.
