This 32-year-old woman complained of pruritic grouped vesicles and crusts on the left cheek, nose tip, and glabella for 7 days. Oral acyclovir was administered without improvement for 2 days. A potassium hydroxide preparation showed septate hyphae, and the eruption cleared with 2 weeks of oral terbinafine 250 mg/day and topical clotrimazole cream.
This 32-year-old female patient compalained of itching grouped vesicular eruptions on the left cheek, nose tip and and glabellar area for 7 days. Under the impression of herpes simplex, oral acyclovir was prescribed for 2 days without improvement. Physical examination showed mild annular scales, KOH smear showed lots of fungal hyphae. Oral intake of lamisil 250mg for 2 wks and topical apply of clotrimazole cream t.i.d cleared her skin lesions.
