This 15 year old boy complained of scaly tan papules on his chest, neck and cheek. He also had follicular papules and pustules in the same areas. A potassium hydroxide preparation showed pseudohyphae and spores typical of tinea versicolor. The tinea versicolor and folliculitis cleared with topical selsun lotion 2.5 percent .
