Comments

This healthy 11-year-old girl had a history of chronic persistent itchy dermatitis on the upper posterior thighs for 3 years. The symptoms and eruption cleared during the summer and recurrent each September. Although she tested positive for nickel allergy on a patch test, she always wore pants to school, and her legs had no direct contact with the metal legs on her chair in the classroom. Careful detective work suggested a probably toilet seat contact dermatitis, and she is now using a portable toilet seat cover.
