Comments

This healthy thriving 6-month-old boy developed widespread progressive leathery brown papules and plaques on the trunk and extremities with sparing of the face at 2 moths of age. Although he was itchy at times, his growth parameters were above the 50th percentile, he had no history of gastrointestinal symptoms, and no family history of a similar eruption. Note the scattered urticaria overlying some of the lesions on his back and chest. His pruritis was treated with a nonsedating oral antihistamine.
