Comments

This healthy woman with a large portwine stain involving her back, right flank, and right leg began to develop papules and nodules within her vascular malformation 4-5 years ago. Unfortunately the nodules have bled profusely following minor trauma, but many regressed after pulsed dye laser therapy. Image 1 was taken after initial test spots were performed with laser. Extensive areas on her back and leg were subsequently treated with a dramatic reduction in bleeding nodules and improvement of the portwine stain.
