The findings at high power are typical of the infiltrate seen in an early xanthogranuloma. Immunohistochemical studies for CD1A were negative.
Description
In the dermis there is a dense eosinophilic cellular infiltrate comprised of lipid laden macrophages. No Touton giant cells are seen.
