This healthy 23-year-old man devleoped increasing numbers of disseminated 0.2-0.5 cm yellow papules beginning in adolescence. Several other members of his family had similar leisons. Histologic changes were consistent with xanthogranuloma, and lipid studies were normal. These changes are consistent with disseminated xanthogranulomas or non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
